Renew subscriptions and understand expiration

Prerequisites and authority

Use the official organization interface. Customer procedures need account ownership; provider configuration and manual grants need authorized operator access.

Renew and recognize expiration

Buying the next ordinary plan is a renewal through the subscription queue. It does not require creating another customer identity or changing hotspot credentials simply because a plan renews.

Time-based subscriptions end when validity expires. Usage-based subscriptions end when the data quota is exhausted or validity expires, whichever occurs first. The next eligible queued subscription should then activate.

Review your active plan, remaining validity/quota and queued purchases before renewing. Keep the payment reference. Do not infer that a plan is active merely because the purchase succeeded.

If a queued subscription is cancelled through a supported workflow, check its updated status and any payment/refund handling separately. Cancelling access is not automatic evidence of a refund. Refund policy must come from the organization and supported provider process.

After transition, verify the new active plan, dates, allowance and speed. Usage belongs to the current subscription's accounting period, not all lifetime traffic. A connected session crossing the boundary must be segmented correctly.

Temporary management outages should not arbitrarily disconnect already-connected valid sessions, but they must not grant indefinite access beyond expiry. Exact router-local behavior remains a technical acceptance item.

If renewal is paid but no plan appears, use Payment succeeded but internet did not activate. If the plan appears active but internet fails, use Subscription active but no internet access. Retain the earlier record rather than buying again to conceal a failure.
