This glossary defines how terms are used throughout BryanNet’s documentation.

Term Meaning
Customer A person or subscriber managed in BryanNet. Customer-facing interfaces may vary by edition.
Plan A package defining access conditions such as price, validity, speed, device/concurrency limits, and potentially a data quota.
Subscription A customer’s assigned or purchased instance of a plan, with its own lifecycle, usage and activation order.
Queued subscription An entitlement waiting for the current subscription to finish. Its validity starts when it becomes active under the stacked-subscription model.
Time-based plan An access plan whose entitlement expires according to time validity.
Usage-based plan An access plan where quota exhaustion or time validity can end entitlement.
Router account RouterOS access credentials/provisioning information used for hotspot authentication; distinct from a website account password.
Device A client device associated with the customer and represented by identifying information used in access/session management.
Session A tracked login or network connection; an administrative login session is different from a router hotspot session.
Concurrent-device limit Limit on simultaneous use, not automatically a ban on changing which devices the customer uses over time.
Provisioning Making the required router-side access configuration match an eligible subscription.
Router synchronization Checking/reconciling BryanNet-managed state against RouterOS state.
Desired State The intended router configuration/preset managed through BryanNet; customizing shipped presets changes the support boundary.
Background worker A scheduled or triggered service responsible for lifecycle or maintenance operations.
License edition The licensed feature/capacity package assigned to the customer installation.
Grace period Limited interval under specified license-verification failure conditions, not an extension of a legitimately expired or revoked license.
Webhook An authenticated notification sent by an external service such as a payment provider to a publicly reachable application endpoint.
Recovery key Secret needed to decrypt compatible BryanNet disaster-recovery archives; must be protected separately from the server.
