BryanNet

Installing BryanNet on Linux

Prerequisites and authority

Local installation authority, a complete approved release package, working Docker and access to the deployment record are required. Preserve existing data before installation/update/removal.

Install on Linux

The installer is installer/linux/install-bryannet.sh, with an installation root of /opt/bryannet. Use the complete Linux Installer package, not the Linux Update package, for a new deployment. Keep the manifest, deployment bundle and Docker image archive together with the installer.

  1. Obtain the complete release package from the approved download source and verify its checksum.
  2. Confirm Docker Engine, Compose v2, curl, unzip, Python 3 and sha256sum are installed.
  3. Run docker info and resolve daemon or permission problems.
  4. From the extracted package root, review the script and launch it using the release's documented shell procedure. The source invocation is:
bash installer/linux/install-bryannet.sh
  1. The local manifest selects the packaged release; record that version. The online retrieval path can request a target version, but it is not needed for a complete local package.
  2. Choose the deployment mode, confirm the host ports and enter the requested license. Local/LAN setup generates local URLs; use the actual HTTPS origins when configuring hosted access. The installer supplies the Installation ID used when issuing a bound license. License entry occurs during installation, before the remaining browser setup.
  3. Allow manifest and payload validation, local image loading, configuration creation and deployment checks to finish. Do not interrupt an active operation or delete its lock directory.
  4. Open the reported administrator URL and complete any remaining setup.

The script uses privileged host operations. Use the account and elevation method approved for the release. Do not change directory permissions broadly to bypass a failure.

If installation stops

Record the failing stage and error. Existing containers or a MySQL volume without a valid installation configuration are a recovery condition, not permission to start fresh. Preserve them and use Restore BryanNet safely. Confirm Docker health, API readiness, admin access and worker operation before declaring success.
