Initial setup wizard and administrator creation

Prerequisites and authority

Local installation authority, a complete approved release package, working Docker and access to the deployment record are required. Preserve existing data before installation/update/removal.

Complete initial setup

The setup flow establishes deployment licensing, the first administrator and organization information. Installation packages may already activate the license, as the inspected Linux installer does. Complete the remaining fields shown by the selected release rather than entering an unrelated second license.

  1. Open the installer-reported admin URL on a trusted network.
  2. Check whether setup is required or an existing deployment is detected.
  3. Review license status and complete activation if requested.
  4. Create the first administrator using a unique strong password. Record recovery information securely.
  5. Enter organization details and the operating timezone. Check names carefully before saving.
  6. Complete setup, sign in and verify the organization and license shown in Settings.
  7. Create individual staff accounts and suitable roles before sharing operational access.

Do not restart setup to repair a forgotten password. Use the supported administrator recovery path. A reachable setup page after an established deployment warrants investigation before another account is created.

What setup does not establish

The dashboard becoming available does not prove that a hotspot is ready. Router connectivity, Desired State, access plans, customer interfaces and payments still need configuration. Continue with Add and bootstrap a router in BryanNet and First-deployment walkthrough and success checklist.

Check that an unauthorized visitor cannot repeat initial setup and that the first administrator can access the intended management areas. Exact field order, activation behavior and the setup URL must be captured from the final release. Do not publish invented wizard screenshots.
